Composition Sourcebook
This sourcebook is a collection of theoretical and practical scholarship that establishes a foundation of knowledge and resources for newer graduate teachers and lecturers. Shane A. Wood and Casey C. Keel—rhetoric and composition PhD students at the University of Kansas—spent the Fall 2015 semester collecting colleagues’ teaching materials and activities as well as sifting through renowned scholars’ teaching materials, pedagogical structures, and class activities. Once they had a large and broad enough corpus, they designed an easy-to-use and open site for not only KU graduate students but for a wide array of graduate teachers. The ultimate goal for this collection was to cultivate a communal space and conversation about how to effectively, ethically, and methodically teach students how to write and compose for academic, professional, and—even—their own purposes.
